Clients, contacts and leads

Keep track of the companies and people you work with, follow leads from first contact to won, and add your own fields.

Clients

A client is a company (or person) you do business with. Each client has a page with their details, contacts, products and services, documents, files, notes and recent activity. Edit any detail directly on the page, or ask nancit.

To add one, use Add on the Clients page, or tell nancit: “add Brightside Studio as a client, contact Lee Naidoo, [email protected]”.

Contacts

Contacts are the people at your clients. A contact can belong to a client, and one contact can be the client’s primary contact. Every contact has their own page, notes and files too.

Leads

A lead is a potential client you’re still working on. Find them under Sales › Leads. Each lead moves through stages: New, Contacted, Interested, Negotiating, and then becomes Won (an active client) or Lost (with a reason). You can record where each lead came from, such as a referral, your website or LinkedIn.

Leads can come in automatically from a lead form on your website.

Products and services

Under Sales › Products & services, list what you sell with its price, currency and billing (once-off or monthly). Link them to clients, contacts and documents.

Lists that work your way

Every list has search, filters, sortable columns and a choice of columns. Your list setup follows you to any device. You can also ask nancit: “show me only active clients in Cape Town”.

Your own fields

Admins can add custom fields, such as “Region” or “Contract end date”, to clients, contacts and products, and even create completely new types of records. See Your team and Admin.

Deleting and restoring

Deleted records go to Trash for 30 days, where you can restore them. After 30 days they are removed for good.
