Terms of service
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (and the business you use nancit for) and Salton Sync, which operates nancit (“nancit”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation or using nancit, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you use nancit for a business, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
1. The service
nancit is a business workspace with clients, contacts, leads, products and services, invoices and quotes, documents, finance views, connected email and calendar, workflows, AI workers and an AI assistant. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts and organisations
- Accounts belong to an organisation. Admins invite people, set what each member can use, and are responsible for their organisation’s users.
- Keep your login details safe and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
- Information you give us must be accurate. You must be at least 18.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the records, files and other content you put into nancit (“your content”). You give us permission to host, process and display your content only as needed to provide and support the service. You are responsible for having the right to store and use your content, including any personal information about your clients, contacts and leads, and for meeting the laws that apply to it (such as data protection and email marketing laws).
4. AI features
- The nancit assistant and workers use AI to answer questions, draft documents and emails, and propose changes. AI output can be wrong or incomplete: check it before you rely on it.
- Changes to your records, and emails or calendar changes the assistant prepares, are shown as cards and happen only when you confirm them. Workers may read your records and, if you allow it, your email and calendar, and may save email drafts; they do not send email on their own.
- AI use is measured in daily credits that depend on your plan.
5. Connected email and calendar
If you connect Microsoft Outlook or Google Gmail, you authorise nancit to access that account as described when you connect and in our Privacy policy, and to take the actions you approve. Your use of those services remains subject to Microsoft’s or Google’s own terms. You can disconnect at any time.
6. Lead forms
If you publish nancit lead forms on your website, you are responsible for telling visitors how you will use their details (for example, in your own privacy notice) and for having a lawful basis to contact them.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use nancit to:
- break the law or anyone’s rights, or store content you have no right to;
- send spam or unlawful marketing, or impersonate others;
- upload malware, probe or attack the service, or get around its security, limits or permissions;
- scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the service except as the law allows;
- use the AI features to create harmful, deceptive or illegal content.
We may suspend or limit accounts that break these rules or put the service or others at risk.
8. Plans, payment and changes
Some features depend on your plan. Fees, if any, are shown when you subscribe and are billed in advance for each period unless stated otherwise. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next period. Except where the law requires, fees are not refundable.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep nancit available and secure, but it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. Keep your own copies of important records; nancit can export a backup.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using nancit at any time. We may end or suspend access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where possible). After an account ends we may delete its content after a reasonable period; export what you need before then.
11. Disclaimers
nancit is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that AI output, calculations, exchange rates or documents will be accurate or suitable for your purposes. nancit does not give legal, tax, accounting or financial advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to nancit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or ZAR 1,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
13. Indemnity
You will protect us against claims arising from your content, your use of nancit in breach of these terms, or your breach of the law, to the extent the law allows.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell account holders about significant changes. Continuing to use nancit after a change means you accept it.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you other rights that cannot be waived.
